Emily Brown is an attorney at Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd. She represents clients in a broad range of complex litigation matters, with a concentration in the areas of civil rights, class actions, and labor and employment. Emily served as a law clerk for the Honorable Milton Shadur on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and worked on criminal justice reform and housing initiatives as a Polikoff-Gautreaux Fellow at BPI. Prior to joining Hughes Socol, she represented consumers and sexual assault victims at a national plaintiffs’ firm.
Emily is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Oxford University (MSc) and the University of Chicago (BA). She began her public interest law career as a college intern for the Southern Poverty Law Center.
