Elizabeth Arumilli is a Special Counsel with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Previously, Ms. Arumilli was an attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor in its Chicago regional office, bringing civil and administrative enforcement actions under federal labor laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
She has practiced in numerous U.S. District Courts and before the Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges, the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission, and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
Ms. Arumilli started her work with the U.S. Department of Labor in Dallas and moved to Chicago in 2012. Ms. Arumilli earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Chemistry from Purdue University with highest honors. She worked as an Americorps VISTA volunteer in southeastern Ohio before attending law school in 2006.
