Alyssa Moinet is a staff attorney with Beyond Legal Aid who graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2023. As a law student Alyssa assisted community members through DePaul’s Asylum & Immigration Law Clinic, and developed advocacy plans through the International Human Rights Law Practicum. Her research on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and local women’s rights advocacy was published in the DePaul Law Review. Prior to attending law school Alyssa served as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Houston Refugee Project. Alyssa is originally from Michigan and attended Michigan State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Humanities in 2018. Alyssa is excited to work alongside community members to achieve justice.
